Justin Jones
Guitarist & Singer, bluegrass, country & gospel
About
Bluegrass, country & gospel from Austinville, VA.
Justin grew up in Austinville, Virginia, in a family where playing guitar and singing was just part of everyday life. He's been at it for more than 15 years, and since 2023 he's been the lead singer and guitarist for Mountain Blessings.
Along the way he's learned from some of the best flatpickers around, Bryan Sutton, Chris Eldridge, Jake Workman, and Josh Pickett, and he's placed near the top in guitar competitions all over the eastern U.S. In 2024, 2025, and 2026 he was invited to Bryan Sutton's Guitar Camp, where he got to pick alongside Bryan, Jake Workman, Chris Eldridge, and Billy Strings.
On stage you'll hear bluesy, wide-open guitar breaks and a high tenor voice that carries. Whether it's a hard-driving bluegrass number or a slow, aching ballad, Justin plays it like he means it.
